Everybody knw Jon got more fans den Hady ..
In da stadium itself .. 2/3 of da stadium is Jon's .. Hady's fan is superbly pathetic to b honest .... Dey come in sucha small groups, dat da voices of Jon's fans overthrew dem everytime ....
But in da end, its da votes .. Whr da hell is da votes for Jon ? He got a battering yesterday .. 70 to 30 .. Dats alot man .. ALOT .. Dats a trashing .. Being compared to Taufik's n Sly's 60+ to 30+ percent ....

Everybody knw Jon got more fans den Hady .. thats new. from what i saw on tv i thought the numbers are around the same, but hady's fans were more enthusiastic. i think the both of them are okay, the odds of them winning are alike (like its not super-landslide-win/loss). and jon would have made a deserving winner too. but well, hady sang the something wings song better than jon. |

No, Jon should have won. He's more marketable to XMMs who clearly runs the show. I would have prefered to see a female winner though.  Is that why Hady's father's mee rebus stall is closed? Cos he spent every last cent on voting and not buying mee and stuffs?  |

singapore idol is all about singing and appeal.
jon has got the appeal
and hady got the voice
like ken said
hady's got the looks
but jon hasnt really got the voice.
of course jons voice only suited certain genre.
but we want someone who can sing any kind of genre thats been thrown at them. the idol will definitely be invited to perform at alot of shows infront of different kind of fans.
so hady did it for me. watch the spectaculars from the start till the end. watch both jons and hadys performance.
everybody agrees taufik was superb last season thus earn his place as the first idol. what is taufik all about? being able to tackle on genre. similar to hady. please do not mention that 'we already got a crooner. now we need a different one.'
in that case, if jon won this seasons idol, are we to say that we CANNOT have a crooner or rocker next season (if there is a next season)?
and please do not compare singapore idol to america idol. yes. in america, singers like jon, who can only only sing certain genre, can survive because america's market is big and flexible.
singapore on the other hand, has only 3-4 million ppl. and if we only target certain kind of audience/genre, just how many fans can that singer attract?
a good example would be last season.
taufik, able to handle different genre and languages.
sly, restricted to rock and chinese music.
2 years on, whatever happen to sly?
