Recently, I read an article in the latest copy of the 8 Days magazine (dated 14 Sep 2006) regarding Singapore Idol Season 3, so I have decided to share it with you guys, hoping that you will share your opinions and views on the article. Unfortunately, this article may be bad news for those who love to watch Singapore Idol as the article has reported that, according to an inside source, there [glow=red,2,300]may not be a third season[/glow] for the well-known television programme. This is due to the supposed fact that Singapore does not have many singing talents, with the exceptions of some. However, this supposed fact was countered by the 8 Days magazine, stating that Singapore does not lack in singing talents but that they are in fact, hidden. These talented people have chosen to take on other professions, that of medicine, law, science etc. So, at this season's finals, it may be your last time watching Singapore Idol, where a new Singapore Idol will be crowned. Therefore, I urge you to vote for either of the finalists, whoever deserves it more, as this may be your last chance! Who will succeed Taufik Batisah in this possibly final season, will it be Jonathan Leong or Hady Mirza? To get more elaborate details and full story of the article, get that copy of the 8 Days magazine. I donno hw true dis is .. But i certainly agree dat dere is talent in Singapore, juz dare dat dey don gif a hoot bout it .. Maybe dey think dat u wont earn lotsa money being a singer or wadsoever ? I donno ..
Those wif passion, hide demself ? Those hungry for fame n wanna b a celebrity, joins dem ? I donno ....
U people sure can agree dat deres more pple outside who r betta den da Finalists in our Singapore Idol ..
Dats my 2cents worth of thots ..
But even if deres no idol show, hope we come out wif more talent shows, showing different sides of talents in Singapore .. Rockstar ? Talentime ? Get some ideas from da American man .. Hahaha ..

If it is really true, I feel very sad about it. I, too, believe that Singaporeans do not lack talented singers. Whatever it is, I hope that the Singapore Idol producers will re-consider this supposed decision. If it is true... Bye, Singapore Idol, I will miss you!  If it is not... Those who think they can sing well, do join Singapore Idol, so that there might be more seasons of Singapore Idol for the future generations... Thanks! Haha. GabZ |
